Once a quarter, our team comes together for a day of training and team building, ensuring that we sharpen our skills and align our visions. This week marked our first session of the year, and there was a real hub of excitement as we delved into planning and drawing inspiration for the months ahead.
Inspiration
The day kicked off with each team member sharing their thoughts and ideas for upcoming events, ranging from maternity shoots to celebrating Mother’s Day, Easter, PhotoBaby’s 16th Birthday, and beyond. Brace yourselves, as we’ve got an array of fantastic events lined up for you this year! A real melting pot of ideas that we can’t wait to unveil and have you along to share with us.
Technical Wizardry
Of course, we also delved into the technical aspects of our craft. Ashton led an insightful session on enhancing your viewing experience and shared valuable tips for prepping the work, all geared to making sure you, our clients receive the best possible service. Then Dan got everyone focussed on what our clients are always looking for in an image.
Customer Service
Debbi also lead a little session on how we can improve our customer service, and between us we came up with some great ideas for boosting your experience.
Team Bonding
Amidst all the learning, laughter filled the air as we exchanged jokes and enjoyed a light-hearted atmosphere. We really are like a little family at PhotoBaby!
Improving Photography Skills
In the afternoon, our focus shifted to honing our family photography skills. We really focused on group composition. Lots of learning, and lots of fun. Capturing both memorable moments and team camaraderie through some hilarious team photos. PhotoBaby family team photos!
Awards
Earning awards is an integral part of the business, it’s a great way for the team to earn recognition. And we like giving our own awards too! Ashton and Annabel were neck and neck in their race for awards last year. So we felt it only right to award them both. We gave Ashton Photographer of the Year for her incredible number or awards and continued hard work behind the scenes of PhotoBaby, and gave Annabel the title, Master Award Winner for gaining a whopping 9 awards last year. Hannah also nominated Danielle as Employee of the Season for all her hard work over the past few months. They make me so proud!
Painting Party
As the day wrapped up, we finished off our training with a creative twist—a painting party. Our props received a fresh coat of paint, and new additions joined the collection. We also prepped some new backdrops, in preparation for the exciting events we have in store for you this year. And we shared a glass or two of fizz!
Our training day wasn’t just about refining our technical skills; it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the shared passion we have for capturing life’s special moments. We can’t wait to get stuck in to everything we have planned for you and create lasting memories of you and your family throughout the coming year ahead!
