This is your chance for your baby to to celebrate their first birthday by having the most awesome time smashing their birthday cake. And while they do this, we’ll photograph all the fun as it happens – and then clean up the mess!

A Cake Smash is a really popular way to celebrate your baby’s first or even second birthday, and it’s the most wonderful sensory experience for your baby too! We like to start these sessions with a few natural portraits and then move onto birthday celebrations.

What Happen’s at a Cake Smash?

Firstly, we’ll pose your baby with our giant light up number one, just watch them be fascinated by the lights.

Following this, we’ll set baby to work making their cake – this bit is very popular and the little ones love getting the flour everywhere! (Good job you’re not at home.)

Then when the cake is ready it’s time for baby’s birthday party so we’ll set up balloons and props according to your vision. And then we will set baby loose with the cake, quite often it’s their very first cake and the reactions are priceless! Baby has an utterly wonderful time making a mess.

Finally, when nothing is left but a pile of crumbs, we’ll pop them in a bubble bath to clean them up – fabulous!
