Wondering What to Bring?
To make the most of your baby’s photo shoot, here’s a handy list of what to bring along.
Essentials for Your Baby
- Nappies and wipes: Accidents happen, and that’s absolutely fine!
- Favourite blanket: It helps your baby feel secure and can look beautiful in photos.
- A change of clothes: For your baby and for you, just in case.
- Snacks or milk: Keeping your baby fed means happy, smiley photos.
Note: If you have booked a newborn shoot, dress your newborn in a simple onesie, if possible, without a vest to come to us. This way we can easily undress your baby when you arrive for cute sleepy newborn poses. We can dress them again later in any special outfit that you would love to see them in for portraits.
Comfort Items
- Dummy or pacifier: If your baby uses one, it can be helpful to soothe them.
- Favourite toy: A familiar toy can calm your baby or even make an adorable prop!
Outfits and Accessories
- Special outfits: Bring two to three options for variety in the photos.
- Personal touches: Hats, headbands, or a keepsake can make the photos even more meaningful.
Tell Your Story
- What are you into? If you want to get creative for your portraits, bring along a few bits from home that tell your story. This could be anything! We’ve had fire and police helmets, walk gear, musical instruments, sports gear. Anything goes! We’ll have fun creating a portrait setting that is completely unique to you!
For the Parents
- Comfortable clothes: You might be in some photos, so pick something you feel great in. Light or dark tones both look great.
- Snacks and water: Shoots can take a bit of time, so keep yourself energised. We have plenty of water and fruit on hand, but you might want your own.
Other Handy Tips
- Try to schedule the shoot around nap times for a happy, well-rested baby.
- Don’t stress if your baby cries – we’ve got plenty of tricks to calm them down.
- Remember you are your baby’s compass – they are reading you! So relax and enjoy yourself and baby will too.
- Trust us to capture their unique personality and those tiny details you’ll treasure forever.
