Everyday I am receiving enquiries for photoshoots and questions about when we will be reopening.
As yet, we still don’t know!
15th June
The Government has given a tentative date of 15th June. So long as all five of their tests are passed satisfactorily. These tests relate to Lancashire being able to track and test for the virus. And the counties capacity to confine the virus and cope with those who become sick.
Lancashire has not Passed Tests
At this moment in time Lancashire is not able to pass all five tests. So our easing of lockdown is on pause. As you may know the return to school for reception, year one and year six is currently on hold because of this.
Limited Services
Should Lancashire pass the five tests by the 15th June we will be able to open our doors. But our services will be limited to begin with.
The strict guidelines and social distancing requirements mean that newborn and baby shoots up to four months will not be possible. These sessions require constant hands on close contact, which is breaking the rules.
Strict Rules for Safety
Hefty fines and even prison sentences have been threatened for rule breaking. And this aside, we want to abide by them because we want to keep you all safe, and make sure we don’t contribute to overwhelming our amazing NHS.
We feel these close contact shoots are much more in line with how hairdressers and beauty therapists work, so we are watching closely for government rulings in these fields. We will take our lead accordingly.
If We Can Open
If we are given the go ahead for the 15th June, we will be able to open for location, maternity, family, six month and cake smash photoshoots and viewings.
Location Shoots
If we can not open on the 15th, we will still be able to offer location shoots and meet all the safety requirements. We are having an amazing spring and summer, so we may as well make the most of it! PM us if you want to arrange an outdoor session with us.
We can’t wait to get back to working with you, but we want to do it right. The safety of you and your precious little ones is our number one concern. We have a long list of clients that we know are waiting, and we will be in touch to offer you a session time as soon as we know we can do this safely.
