A Story From My Heart
This is something I know deeply, not just professionally… but personally.
I lost my mum.
She was always the one saying no to photos.
Always stepping out of the frame.
Always saying, “I’m fine, just get one of you.”
And now… there aren’t many photos of her.
Not enough. Not nearly enough.
Recently, I also lost my aunty.
But this time, it was different.
We had photos. So many beautiful photos.
Photos of her laughing. Holding us. Just being her.
We created a slideshow to celebrate her life… and it became such a special part of our healing.
Sitting together, remembering, smiling through tears.
Having those images meant everything.
And in those moments, the contrast felt so clear.
Photos aren’t about how we look.
