Mothers day is creeping up fast.
Little ones everywhere are hunkering down to make jaw dropping masterpieces out of glue, pasta and cut paper. So many treasures to be unveiled on Sunday!
When I was little, my sisters and I would very proudly make our Mum breakfast in bed. Serving her stewed tea and charred toast, and giving our own beautiful creations along with a beautiful posy picked from the garden.
Years later I learnt that our Mum was actually on tenterhooks on the run up to M Day. She was a keen gardener, and it seemed we had a knack for finding and picking her most tender treasures that she had only just coaxed into flowering. But at the time she gracefully accepted our offerings and we’d be thrilled by our attempts at spoiling her.
I love that this is a time old tradition. This day has been celebrated in the UK and Ireland since the 16th century. That’s a lot of women getting spoiled! And when you think how hard women in the past had to work, then this must have been their favourite day of the year!

We’ve been honouring Super Mummies too. We were sent over two hundred nominations for Super Mummies in our special event. And we have posted out an official Super Mummy certificate to each of them. We’ve been very excited about how many lovely surprises we’ve been sending out. We hope we made a lot of Mummies smile!
And lots of Mummies have been into the studio to enjoy a Mummy and Me photo shoot and let us spoil them too, so it’s been a very special few weeks. Plus we’ve been totting up a few more awards with the images we’ve been making!
My First Mothers Day Event
Now we are gearing up for our My First Mothers Day event. I think we are all super excited about this one! We’re going to give away a Silver Milestones package worth £1500. Plus we’ve loads of other goodies to give away too. A baby monitor, a white noise bunny, a baby health care kit, and twenty £100 portrait sessions. It’s going to be our biggest event yet!

However your Sunday goes, remember to take stock. This is one beautiful moment in your precious life that is speeding by. Your little ones are growing so fast, and before you know it they are going to be towering above you ( like mine are!). So relish right now! Hang that masterpiece on the fridge and give all your loved ones a huge squeeze. Then put your feet up and eat some chocolate because you deserve it!
