Half Term Whizzed By (Did It For You Too?)

By 26th February 2026Night Feed Ramblings

Half term comes.
Half term goes.

It’s always a whirlwind in our house.

There are snacks everywhere.
Someone always needs a lift somewhere.
And the washing machine never seems to stop.

But as long as we squeeze in a little pocket of proper, quality time… it’s all good.

And right now, I’m feeling like Super Mum. ‍♀️

Why?

Because a little visit to Ambleside’s famous Rock Shop has somehow made it into my daughter’s top three days of the year so far. I mean… I’ll take that win!

We last visited the Rock Shop when she was about six or seven.
She’s fifteen now.

And she has been asking to go back ever since.

Some loves never fade, do they?

She still adores rocks. Crystals. Shiny things. Bracelet making. The lot.

We took my niece along too, and I think we’ve converted her as well. Another rock lover in the family!

It wasn’t flashy.
It wasn’t expensive.
It wasn’t complicated.

But it was time together.
And that’s the bit that sticks.

A Little Cobbled Adventure

We also finally got my niece over to visit our lovely neighbours at Little Cobbled Village.

If you haven’t been yet, oh my goodness… it is just the sweetest place.

And here’s the bit that made my heart melt.

Even my seventeen-year-old son Ethan came along to play.

Yes. Seventeen.

Proof that you’re never too old for a little imagination.

It was so lovely watching them all together. Slowing down. Playing. Laughing.

And I’m very excited to tell you that we’re teaming up with them this year to bring Prom and Play to all the nursery graduates in the area.

Tiny caps. Tiny gowns. Big proud smiles.

If you’d love your little one to join us, we’ll be hosting these special events in June. Keep an eye on our socials for all the details.

It’s going to be adorable.

Spring Is Nearly Here…

Now it’s back to it in the studio.

Spring is just around the corner.
The light is changing.
The air feels softer.

And we are almost ready to roll out our Mummy and Me sessions.

We just have one more set to build… and honestly… it’s going to be utterly gorgeous.

These sessions are always so special.
Quiet cuddles.
Real giggles.
Little arms wrapped tight.

We’ve been inviting mums to nominate another mum who truly deserves one of these sessions.

Someone who gives everything.
Someone who might never put herself in front of the camera.
Someone who deserves to feel seen.

So if there’s a mummy in your world who you think would treasure this, keep your eyes peeled on our social posts and get nominating!

A Happy (and Slightly Sad) Goodbye

And finally… some happy and sad news all wrapped up together.

Our lovely Alice is expecting baby number two.

We are so thrilled for her. Truly.

But it does mean she’ll be leaving us soon to start her next beautiful chapter.

She has been the most wonderful member of our team over the past twelve months. Kind. Calm. Completely brilliant with our families.

We are really going to miss her.

But family always comes first. Always.

These are big boots to fill.

And maybe… just maybe… this role could be perfect for you?

If you’re looking for a lovely part-time job in a warm, creative studio environment, take a peek at the job role on our website. It might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
