We start with a few clean portraits.
Then the birthday story begins with our giant one,
baking their cake in our kitchen setting.
Then it’s time to smash.
And that’s when the magic happens.
Some babies dive straight in.
Some poke it gently.
Some just sit and stare at it like it’s a science experiment.
There is no right way.
We follow their lead.
Afterwards, we finish with a splash bath.
Warm water.
Bubbles.
Giggles.
And you go home with a happy (and clean) baby.
What age is best?
We usually recommend around ten and a half months.
Why?
Because we can capture the photos before their first birthday.
And you can use the images for party invites or decorations.
But there is flexibility.
Every baby develops differently.
If your little one is sitting confidently and loves exploring textures, it’s a good time.
Do you provide the cake?
Yes, we can.
We work with trusted local bakers who know exactly what works for photos.
Simple.
Soft.
Easy to smash.
If your baby has allergies, we’ll chat through options.
Your little one’s safety always comes first.
You’re also welcome to bring your own cake if you prefer.
What should my baby wear?
Less is often more.
Nappy covers.
Romper suits.
Little tutus.
Tiny braces.
We’ll help you choose something that works beautifully with the set.
And don’t worry.

What if my baby doesn’t like the cake?
It happens.
Some babies aren’t fans of sweet things.
Some don’t like getting messy.
And that’s completely fine.
We have little tricks.
Spoons.
Favourite snacks hidden inside.
A bit of modelling from mum or dad.
But if they don’t smash?
We still capture gorgeous expressions.
It’s about personality.
Not performance.
Can parents and siblings join in?
Absolutely.
We love starting with family photos.

You’ll never regret jumping in for one photo.
Even if you planned not to.
Is it very messy?
Yes.
And that’s the point.
But don’t worry.
We handle the clean up.
Bring a towel and a change of clothes for the journey home.
We’ll take care of the rest.
When will we see the photos?
After your session, you can opt to see your portraits the very same day,
or we invite you back for your viewing.
