For one thing, your pregnancy is amazing! You are growing a person and that in itself is a miracle. And then you are embarking on the most wonderful adventure of your life – parenthood!
Right now is your moment, and very soon life will never be the same again. Let’s mark the occasion!
And your baby is only this tiny once. The sleepy yawns, curled-up poses, button noses, soft tufts of hair – it all changes so quickly.
Newborn photography freezes this fleeting moment. You’ll be able to look back and remember just how small they were, how they fit in your arms, and the way you felt in those early days.
These portraits aren’t just for you – they’re for your baby, too. One day, they’ll look back and see how loved they were from the very start.

“But what if…”
We completely understand. You might be thinking:
“What if my baby doesn’t sleep or cries the whole time?”
This is such a common worry – and one we hear all the time.
Please don’t worry. We’ve worked with hundreds of newborns and know all the gentle tricks to help soothe them. The studio is warm, calm, and designed just for babies. We work around your baby’s needs, not against them.
If they need a feed or a cuddle, we take a break. No rush. No pressure.
“What if I don’t feel camera-ready?”
We get it. Those first few weeks can feel like a blur. You might not feel your best – but please trust us when we say: you look incredible.
This is about capturing real love, connection, and the start of your baby’s story. We’ll guide you gently, pose you in flattering ways, and keep it natural and relaxed.
You don’t need to be a model – just a loving parent. That’s more than enough.
Still not feeling it? Don’t worry, you don’t have to get in front of the camera, you don’t need to be in the portraits at all, or we could find a middle ground and just pop your hands in the portrait with your baby.
“What if it’s too expensive?”
This is something many parents worry about, we understand that you are on maternity leave!
We’ve structured this offer so that the session itself is completely free, and you only buy the images you truly love.
We have a range of options to suit most budgets, and we’ll talk you through everything during your warm up call. We promise there will be no hidden costs, and no surprises.
Plus, we offer payment plans if you’d prefer to spread the cost.

“What if I’ve left it too late?”
The ideal time for your maternity session is around 30 weeks. At this point your bump will be lovely and round, but you won’t be feeling too tired. Don’t panic if you are further on though – if this is something you are wanting to do, then there is no time like the present!
And the ideal time for newborn portraits is within the first 2–3 weeks, but we can still create beautiful images after that too if you don’t feel you will be ready to bring them in that soon. Babies are wonderful at every stage!
We usually pencil in your booking for about 10 days after your due date, so we’ll organise this when you come in for your Bump session. Don’t worry if baby decides to arrive a little earlier or later than anticipated, we will simply juggle the diary accordingly.
Hannah’s Story
“I had my maternity shoot at around thirty weeks. It was so much fun, and it made me feel so good about myself! And I couldn’t believe that that was how I looked! These portraits have become such a special keepsake.
Then I had my newborn shoot when my daughter was 12 days old. I quite was nervous, and especially worried that my baby might not settle or pee on everything! They put me at ease straight away though, and even made me a real coffee! The team were so good with my daughter and even taught me some soothing techniques. They asked me what I wanted from the session, I wasn’t really sure so I just left it up to them – they know what they are doing!
I didn’t plan to be in any of the newborn portraits, but somehow it happened and I couldn’t believe how lovely I looked. Seeing myself like that with my daughter made me cry it was so special. I ended up keeping three of the portraits of us together, as well as ten others. They put her in a little bed and in a basket, and curled her up in so many cute poses, they were so beautiful, I had to have them!
I bought a bundle and got a mix of digital images on a pen drive and luxury prints. Yes it was a bit of an investment, but it was fantastic value for money! Now I can’t wait to go back and do sitter portraits when she gets a bit bigger.”
