Jennie Edmonson in the Hot Seat

By 5th March 2016Birdie Blog

This Month’s Hot Seat goes to Jennie Edmonson of Go Health and Fitness and Pram Power.

Jennie Edmonson 2

What are you passionate about?

Passionate about fitness!  In particular, increasing strength.  It’s not about looking like ‘Arnie’ it’s about being able to move without pain and enjoying life to the fullest, whatever your age.  My mission is to inspire parents to lead by example and ensure the next generation are fitter, not fatter.

Do you have a dream?

Professionally, I have a dream to launch PramPower nationwide and have my own Strength and Conditioning studio.  On a personal level, I love to travel and explore.  Sailing the Southern Ocean and riding a Harley Davidson across USA are just 2 from my Bucket List!

Where do you find inspiration?

My kids inspire me to be better.  I always get inspired by meeting others and hearing their stories – everyone has a story to tell and battles they are facing; we all make assumptions that others lives are more organized, fitter, wealthier, happier or easier than ours, but we are all on the same roller coaster!

If you could change places with someone for a day, who would it be and why?

I recon a day in the life of Usain Bolt would be pretty special.  I’d love to see his training schedule and to feel the power of being the fastest person on the planet.  He also seems to be someone who knows how to have a good time, enjoy life and not take himself too seriously.

Jennie runs a Strong New Mum programme that should be your first point of call after having a baby, and something you might like to schedule in to your diary whilst you are pregnant! A 12-16 week programme in total, this is comprised of 6-10 weeks of gentle core work – the Essential Abs for New Mums online programme, followed by the Strong New Mum programme which will get you out of the house with your pram, raising your heart rate (online or at our base in Lancaster & Morecambe) and building a strong foundation for life long health for you and your family.  The comprehensive programme includes everything you need to loose weight, avoid injury, discover the best plan for your body type, tools and habits for healthy, filling meals and accountability – all steps to guarantee you success, for now and for life.

If you are unable to commit to the ‘StrongNewMum’ programme, PramPower’s group exercise classes run weekly as follows…

Mon & Thu 0930-1030 on Morecambe Prom

Tue & Fri in Williamson Park.
