Being pregnant is such a special time, and a collection of baby bump photos is a wonderful memento of this. My own bump portrait has pride of place in my bedroom and makes me smile every time I look at it.
Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, a baby bump photos session is a wonderful bit of ‘me’ time and a celebration to mark this magical moment in your life.
When you should come in for your maternity portrait really is up to you, every bump is different after all! I recommend that you get in touch at about three months and let me know that you are wanting to make a bump portrait. Then we can talk about the kind of images you would like to create and put a provisional date in the diary.
To make your baby bump photos completely unique to you, we recommend you bring along a few of your own props. This could be anything from fabric to feathers to an old shawl that has a sentimental story behind it, and don’t worry if you are stuck for ideas, we can talk this over.
If your baby bump has siblings a portrait with your little ones and your bump is extra special! It would be wonderful if you could bring them along too, but do remember this session really is about you so bring help as well if you can.
